About

An independent index of what US online hair-loss clinics actually charge. Run by one person, not by a clinic and not by a medical team. Here is how it works and what it is not.

Why it exists

Every hair-loss clinic advertises a price that starts with the word "from". Behind that number there is usually a longer plan, a cheaper medication than the one you want, an introductory rate that ends after the first cycle, or a consultation fee charged separately. The existing "best hair loss treatment" pages compare four clinics, once a year, from a press kit.

So this index does one narrow thing instead. It reads every clinic's own pricing page, writes down the figure and the terms attached to it, stamps the date it was read, and re-reads them on a schedule. Twelve clinics, nine treatments, every price with the plan it needs printed next to it. The methodology explains exactly how a price gets in and what each status stamp means, and the changelog is the track record: every re-check, correction and change of method, with a date against it.

Who runs it

One person, independently. Not a doctor, not a pharmacist, not a dermatologist, and never employed by or paid by a hair-loss clinic. That is stated first because it decides what this site is allowed to tell you.

What the work actually requires is not clinical training but patience with small print: opening twelve checkout flows, noticing which price needs a twelve-month commitment, finding the cancellation clause, and keeping an honest ledger of all of it. Where this index is useful, that is why. Where it is not, read on.

What this site is not

It is not medical advice, and it never recommends a treatment. Finasteride, dutasteride, oral minoxidil and spironolactone are prescription medicines; whether any of them is right for you is a decision for a licensed clinician, and every clinic listed here puts one between you and the medicine.

Where a briefing states a medical fact, it comes from the FDA's prescribing information or a peer-reviewed study, and the source is linked at the foot of that page so you can check it in a minute. If a claim has no source, it does not go in. These pages are reviewed by the person who writes them and nobody else; a licensed clinician reviewer is something this index is looking for, and until it has one, that limitation is stated here rather than hidden.

How the money works

Some clinic links are affiliate links, which means a clinic may pay a commission if you sign up through one, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status never changes a price, a position in a list, or a status stamp. The only thing it decides is which of two equally priced buttons you see. No clinic can pay to be listed, moved, or removed. The full disclosure spells it out.

Corrections come first

If a price on this site is wrong, that is the most important thing anyone can tell us, and it gets fixed and logged in the changelog with the date. Clinics who want their pricing page re-read, journalists, and readers with a question all use the same address: hello@hairlossprices.com.

The index covers US clinics only, because that is where online hair-loss prescribing happens at scale and where the price confusion is worst. The state pages show which states each clinic serves.
